The Yeti X brings real-time level monitoring to the popular USB mic

➧The Yeti X brings real-time level monitoring to the popular USB mic

It’s clear why Logitech bought Blue back in July 2018. The Southern Californian audio company (an acronym for “Baltic Latvian Universal Electronics,” incidentally) has become synonymous with USB microphones since releasing the first Snowball back in 2005.
What seemed like a niche at the time has since become a cultural touchstone, positioning the company well to be embraced first by podcasters and then Twitch streamers. Blue’s USB mics aren’t the highest quality one can purchase for these purposes, but the plug and play functionality felt fairly revolutionary when it first hit the scene.
The company recently issued a long overdue update to its best-selling Yeti. The Yeti X is, for most intents and purposes a pretty subtle update. I’ve been using it a bit here and there for a couple of week now. I recorded the outro to the latest episode of my podcast on the thing and lent it to Anthony for a couple of episodes of Original Content.
Aside from from the spiffy black paint job, the biggest aesthetic change is the addition of a real-time LED meter that’s housed around the illuminating volume nob. It’s a small touch, but an important one for live streamers. This matter of monitoring is largely missing or a pain to access in many streaming apps, so there’s a lot to be said for being able to your levels on the fly, adjusting things back down if you peak into the red.
The sound has been improved, from three to four-capsule condensers. Yeti’s sound was already solid for the world of USB microphones, and it’s nice to see the company continue to up its game there. Some of its recent mics like the Yeti Nano have honestly felt like a step backward. The X sounds crisp, and I fully plan to use it for an upcoming remote podcasting project I have in the pipeline.
Likely I’ll look into some sort of pop filter as well — those Ps can sound pretty harsh.
It still can’t replace a good quality studio microphone, but that’s never really been the point. If you have the means and desire to create real a home podcasting studio, you’re probably looking elsewhere for your mic needs. The Yeti exists for a large and broadening category of home broadcasters — part-time Twitch streamers and podcast hobbyist will find a lot to like here.
Blue has its own software for tweaking setting, but the key is honestly the ability to essentially use it straight out of the box. Per the instructions, however, make sure to point the top of the mic straight up, rather than toward your face as you might otherwise logically do.the standard four settings on the back: stereo, cardioid, omnidirectional and bidirectional. For most podcast style applications, you’re going to want to go with the second. The oddest oversight here is the decision to stick with microUSB over the USB-C. Shipping with a dual sided USB-C cable would go a ways toward future proofing the product.
At $169, the Yeti X is positioned pretty reasonable for beginnings and is certainly a better long term investment than the $70 Snowball.

Osama Bin's mother Alia Ghamen say about her son.

Osama Bin mother Alia Ghanem say about her son:

Osama Bin Laden Mother Alia Ghanemremembers ''good childs''

The mother of al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden has spoken publicly about her son for the first time, seven years on from his 2011death.Alia Ghanem gave an interview to British news the Guardian from the family's home in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

She told the publication her son had been a shy and"good child"growing up, but was "brainwashed"at university.
The family say they last saw Bin Laden in
1999, two years before the 9/11 attacks, when he was in Afghanistan.  By that time he was considered a major global terror suspect, after moving to the country initially to fight the invading soviet forces in the 1980s.
"We were extremely upset. I did not want any of this to happen. Why would he throw it all away like That"
Ms Ghanem told the newspaper-per, when asked how she felt after learning her son had become a jihadist militant
She also said the Muslim Brotherhood
organisation, which her son became involved with while studying, was like a"cult".

After the 9/11 attacks, the family say they were interrogated by the Saudi government who then limited their travel and movement
Journalist Martin Chulov writes in the piece  that he believed the gulf kingdom granted him permission to speak to Ms Ghanem because senior officials hoped it would demonstrate that the former al Qaeda leader was an outcast and not a state agent, as some have alleged.
Two of Bin Laden's brothers, Hassan and
Ahmad, were also present for the Guardian interview and described their shock at learning of his involvement in the 9/11 attacks.

"From the youngest to the eldest, we all felt ashamed of him. We knew all of us were going to face horrible consequences. Our family abroad all came back to Saudi,"

Ahmad told the newspaper. He also said his mother remains"in denial"
about Bin Laden 17 years on from the 9/11 attacks, instead blaming the people around
him.

NRC : The Bangladesh media is showing a keep interest on the issue of the NRC

NRC: The Bangladesh media is showing a keep interest on the issue of the NRC.

The Bangladesh media is showing a keep interest on the issue of the update of the National Register of Citizens (NRC)in Assam.

Though some newspapers are merely reporting the facts, including the Supreme Court order yesterday, some went overboard and misrepresented facts and gave wide publicity to the statements made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

It is evident that most of the newspapers in the neighbouring country are not fully aware of the process of the NRC update, which has been going on under the direct supervision of the

Supreme Court and reported that more than 40 lakh people living in Assam were stripped of citizenship at a time when only the complete draft of the NRC has been published and there is scope for filing claims and objections. Moreover, the Government of India has already made it clear that no action would be taken against
anyone on the basis of the draft NRC

        One prominent newspaper of Bangladesh,

Bangladesh Pratidin, reported that over 40 lakh people of Assam lost their citizenship at a time when no decision has yet been taken by the Government of India on the fate of those whose names will not appear in the final NRC.

Another prominent newspaper of the neighbouring country, Jugantor, reported that over 40 lakh Bengalis would be deported from
Assam without knowing the fact that the NRC was not prepared on the basis of language or religion and the main aim of the whole exercise was to determine the nationality of the people living in Assam irrespective of their religion or language. The newspaper also went on to report that many families of Assam would be broken as names of a huge number of married women did not figure in the draft NRC. The paper also gave wide publicity to the statements made by the West Bengal Chief Minister against the NRC.

Another major newspaper, Pratham Alo, reportedthat lakhs of people of Assam became stateless
citizens after the publication of the draft NRC.
The newspaper compared the process of updating the NRC with American President Donald Trump's move against the foreign nationals living in America and feared that many people would be driven out of India However, at the same time, the newspaper also reported the Supreme Court's order that no action should be taken against anyone on the basis of the draft NRC.

lttefaq, another popular newspaper in the neighbouring country, also criticised the process of updating the NRC and alleged that the process was not correct. The newspaper reported that some names of a family appeared and some didn't.

Interestingly, none of the newspapers reported that only the draft of the NRC has been published and there is scope for filing claims and objections before the final NRC is published.
